We are pleased to confirm that the Supreme Group/Walters Group Joint Venture have been awarded the structural steel for The Bow Project. This Project comprises the tallest building in Canada outside of Toronto and is pictured right as part of the Calgary skyline.

Walters is awarded the structural steel contract for the Bay - Adelaide Centre

The Bay-Adelaide Centre in Toronto will be the first steel framed high rise building to be constructed in over 10 years in Toronto. Walters will be responsible for the fabrication and erection of the 52 floors of framing that lie behind the glass facade. Erection is anticipated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2007.

Hammerhead "F" opens to the public - receives AISC Innovation Award:

The new arrivals wing of Pearson International Airport, known as "Hammerhead F" is due to opened to the public at the end of January 2007. The terminal received a 2006 Steel Innovation Award from the American Institute of Steel Construction.

The last piece of structural steel was erected by Ironworkers Local 721 on Thursday, November 30, 2006. Ironworkers Local 721 was also responsible for erecting the complex steel for the ROM Crystal.

"FOSTER": Exhibition at U of Toronto

Walters Group was a proud sponsor of an exhibition of the work of Sir Norman Foster which is being at the University of Toronto. Walters was responsible for the steel work on the "pods" that hang suspended in the 5 storey lobby/atrium of the Leslie Dan School of Pharmacy.

Steel Erection Complete at the ROM:

Tuesday, July 12, 2005

July 12, 2005 marked the erection of the final piece of structural steel for the addition to the Royal Ontario Museum. The architect, Daniel Libeskind, was present to sign the steel -- which was also signed by all of the construction workers on the projects, ROM staff, donors and people with an interest in the project.

The final piece was surmounted by an evergreen tree, the symbol of an accident free work site.
